HILARY'S OVERVIEW

My class experience in (un)fashion revealed a side of fashion that I have never experienced before. With this class, I finally felt free to explore the different aspects of fashion and style in other cultures and time periods of my interest.

For the past 7 weeks, I have explored concepts of modestly, religion, mood, the Middle East, the Zulu tribe, mummies, the eighteenth century, and the Tudor/Elizabethan era era.

My favorite projects this semester are my blush flirty mood dress and my 18th century transitional outfit because they reflect myself in the strongest sense because fine arts and history are a constant inspiration.

My Zulu outfit is an example of an outrageous side of me because it is my total opposite that is to wear fewer clothes. I love the beading/buttoning decoration on the Zulu top.

I want to study and explore the Tudor/Elizabethan era throughout the 18th century much further by tailoring the style to the present day and me.
